Personal Support Workers provide care in various ways including dietary planning and meal preparation, mobilization of clients and personal hygiene routines. Personal Support Workers also provide emotional and support services to their clients and the client’s families. Personal Support Workers allow the aged to remain in their homes, independently, with only the assistance that they need.
LEARN TO CARE FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT CARE FOR THEMSELVES
You will learn all the necessary components to begin assisting the elderly and infirm in their daily activities. Practical placement is a component of the program and will provide hands on training that will prove invaluable for the Personal Support Worker once you are on the job. Your practical training will prepare you to work with the aged in their homes and other various settings such as hospitals and long term care facilities.
